Our Pastor

Rev. Curtis L. Staley is a native of Wichita, Kansas. He accepted his call to the Gospel ministry in April 1986 at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Wichita under the leadership of Rev. T. L. Wade, Pastor.  He received his license to preach in July of that same year.

Rev. Staley received his religious training at Wichita State University and under the tutelage of several prominent ministers in throughout the mid-West and in the Washington, DC area.  He has also completed a number of courses at the National Baptist and various State and Local Conventions.

After Rev. Staley relocated in the Washington area, he joined the Emmanuel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Clinton W. Austin, Pastor, and served as Youth Minister for two years.

In October 1995, Rev. Staley joined the Rehoboth Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. R. Vincent Palmer, II.  He was ordained at Rehoboth in May 1997 and with the blessing of Reverend Palmer, left Rehoboth in 2002 to become Interim Pastor at Southeast Christian Fellowship Church, Washington, DC.   Rev. Staley was installed as Pastor of Southeast Christian Fellowship in October 2003.

In May 2013, Rev. R. Vincent, Palmer, II, our beloved Pastor of 36 years passed away and we were in need of a new Shepherd.  After much prayer and deliberation, Rev. Staley was elected Pastor and began serving as Pastor-Elect in June 2015.  He was proudly installed as the ninth Pastor of Rehoboth Baptist Church on the third Sunday in October 2015.
